News highlights of the day include Citroen, Kia, Skoda and COVID-19.
Citroen – The Citroen C5 Aircross was expected to hit the Indian roads in late 2020. Due to the ongoing lockdown in the country and worldwide COVID-19 crisis, the launch is delayed. The Citroen C5 Aircross will now be introduced in early 2021 in India.
Kia – Recently Kia announced free service extension and warranty extension by 2 months. Now, the South Korean carmaker has donated Rs. 2 crores to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in a bid to fight against the ongoing coronavirus pandemic in out country.
Skoda Octavia RS – Skoda India announced the pricing and launch of the Octavia RS 245 at the Auto Expo 2020. The Czech carmaker had scheduled the deliveries for the 1st week of April. Now due to the lockdown the deliveries have been delayed but the Octavia RS 245 has started arriving at dealerships.
COVID-19 – India’s first drive-through COVID-19 sample collection facility has been introduced in West Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi. The sampling facility takes 10-12 minutes and costs Rs. 4500/- for each sample taken.
