News highlights of the day include Lamborghini, Toyota, Royal Enfield and Tata Motors.
Lamborghini Huracan – The Italian supercar maker has introduced the Huracan EVO rear-wheel drive that comes with a naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine producing 610 BHP at 8000 RPM and 560 Nm at 6500 RPM. Does 0-100 km/hr in 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 325 km/hr. There are some exclusive styling details as well.
Toyota Innova – The Japanese carmaker has started accepting bookings for the BS6 compliant Innova Crysta. The MPV is priced from Rs. 15.36 lakhs (ex-showroom). Booking amount is Rs. 50,000/- while the deliveries will commence from February. 2.8-litre diesel engine has been discontinued. It is available only with 2.4-litre diesel and 2.7-litre petrol engine options.
Royal Enfield – The bookings for the Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6 version is open across the country. Booking amount for the bike is Rs. 10,000/-. The BS4 engine produces 19.8 HP and 28Nm but the power output for the BS6 motor remains to be seen.
Tata Harrier – The Harrier has completed 1 year of its launch in the Indian market. The carmaker has sold more than 15,000 units of the SUV. Celebrating the 1 year anniversary, the existing customers of Harrier will get a personalised badge for their Harrier, they can give their car for a makeover with Scuff Plates, complementary wash & vacuum clean, special 40 point check up, membership to the Harrier Service Gold Club which would entitle them to discounts and benefits worth up to Rs. 8400/- on any service facility availed over the next 2 years.
Motor Trivia – Did you know, the Daewoo Cielo was the first MPFi car in India? Daewoo held a lucky draw at the time of its launch and gave away 200 Cielos to customers to use for 18 months.
