Skoda Octavia Euro NCAP – Skoda’s new-generation Octavia, which was unveiled last month, has earned the maximum 5-star rating in Euro NCAP’s latest round of crash tests. As for the child occupant protection, the Octavia was awarded 43.2 points out of 49 points, which comes up to 88%.
Tata Nexon EV – Tata Motors has begun readying its outlets for the launch of its first electric compact SUV, the Nexon EV, which is slated to take place in the coming months. The company will unveil the Nexon EV in India on 17th December, 2019 in Mumbai. The company has chosen cities like Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, New Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai for the initial introduction.
2020 Geneva motor show -Breaking a 21-year tradition, Tata Motors will not participate in the 2020 Geneva Motor Show. Since the company has nothing new to display, they have opted out of the event.
Orxa Mantis – Bengaluru-based start-up Orxa Energies has revealed its Mantis e-bike at the sixth edition of India Bike Week in Goa. Performance-oriented Mantis electric motorcycle claims a top speed of 140 km/hr and a 0-100 km/hr acceleration time of 8 seconds; batteries charge in 4 hours to give a 200 kms claimed range.
Renault’s November Sales – Renault India has announced that the company has witnessed a growth of 77% (Domestic sales) in the month of November 2019. Last month, Renault India’s total domestic sales stood at 10,882 units, as against the 6134 vehicles sold in November 2018.
