News highlights of the day include Hero, TVS, Toyota and Kawasaki.
Hero – The Hero Pleasure+ scooter gets a mild price revision. The Indian 2-wheeler maker has hiked the price by Rs. 800/-. It was increased before as well when the BS6 variant was launched. Now it comes with a starting price of Rs. 55,600/- (ex-showroom).
TVS – Yet another scooter to get a price hike is the Scooty Pep Plus. After receiving a price hike with BS6 update, this is yet another hike of marginal Rs. 800/-. It now comes with a starting price of Rs. 52,554/- (ex-showroom).
Toyota – The Japanese carmaker has announced that they will increase the pricing of the Toyota Vellfire and Camry in July. Toyota has stated, due to the substantial rise in exchange rate, the impending hike has been necessitated.
Kawasaki – Kawasaki has recalled the Ninja ZX-10R in the USA for engine backfire issue. The ECU programming of the affected bikes may cause the engine to backfire. 1529 units are affected that are produced between 17th September 2018 and 14th February 2020.
