Triumph – The British premium motorcycle maker is about to launch the more affordable Street Triple, the R variant, on 11th August in India. Bookings have already commenced across the country. It is powered by a 765cc, in-line three-cylinder engine producing 116 BHP and 77 Nm torque.
Skoda – Skoda Auto appoints Thomas Schäfer as the new chairman of the company who succeeds former Skoda CEO Bernhard Maier. Thomas Schäfer was previously the Chairman and MD of VW Group South Africa. In 2012 he switched from Mercedes-Benz to Volkswagen Group.
Hyundai – The Korean carmaker has scheduled to launch the premium hatchback i20 in its new generation avatar in India later this year during the festive season. The new i20 is expected to come with a host of new features including premium Bose audio system.
Volvo – The Swedish brand has registered 14.2 percent increase in global sales. Their wide range of SUVs including XC40, XC60 and XC90 contributed to 72.8 percent of overall sales. They sold 62,291 units in July 2020 compared to 54,546 units in July 2019.
