Tata – The Indian carmaker has come up with a new way of delivering cars in a bubble. Some of the dealerships have started using safety bubbles, which is a sealed plastic canopy that reduces physical contact ahead of delivery after the car is sanitised. This new process will be gradually introduced across all Tata Motors dealerships in the country.
Ather – The electric scooter maker has discontinued the Ather 450. The last unit was rolled off the assembly line recently. The electric scooter will be replaced by the new Ather 450X and 450 Plus. With the latest round of funding, Ather Energy is expanding their presence across the country gradually and aims to churn out more volumes in the coming months.
MG Motor – In partnership with Tata Power, MG Motor has set up Agra’s first 60 kW Superfast EV charging station. The public charging station is set up at MG’s Agra showroom. It will be functional 24×7 and will help EV drivers do a Delhi-Agra round trip without any range anxiety.
DTC – The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has procured 1250 low-floor BS6 CNG AC buses. This additional fleet complies with the strict emission norms, which is the need of the hour for the capital since the air quality index is reaching severe levels these days. Further, more number of such buses will help in social distancing in public transport.
