Toyota Fortuner BS6 production begins in Karnataka

MG Maxus D90 – The full-size SUV MG Maxus D90 will make its India debut at the Auto Expo 2020 along with 13 other products from the Chinese carmaker. Expected to come with a 2.0-litre twin turbo diesel engine for the Indian market. This SUV will be launched in India later this year competing with Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner and Mahindra Alturas.

Toyota Fortuner – The Japanese carmaker has commenced the production of BS6 compliant Fortuner at their Karnataka plant. Bookings have already commenced for the BS6 models while the deliveries will start in the coming weeks. No changes are expected in the power and torque output and the features will remain the same.

Top 5 Most Congested Cities – Bengaluru, Mumbai and Pune are among the top 5 most congested cities in the world. Other two cities are Manila in Philippines and Bogota in Colombia. This data has been released by TomTom Traffic Index.

Mahindra Electric – The Indian carmaker’s electric division, Mahindra Electric has adopted a new brand identity introducing their new logo with a tag line – ‘Spark the New’. The company has introduced two different brands within Mahindra Electric – ME and NEMO (Next-Generation Mobility). The vehicles and hardware solutions will be offered under ME branding and software solutions will be offered under NEMO branding.

Okinawa Cruiser – The electric scooter maker will introduce a new maxi scooter at the Auto Expo 2020. Some of the details of the scooter have been revealed. It will have a top speed of 100 km/hr The battery range offered will be up to 120 kms. Charging time of the Okinawa Cruiser will be 2-3 hrs. More details will be revealed at the Auto Expo.
