Nissan – The newly launched Nissan Magnite is getting quite a lot of footfalls in the showroom. The waiting period for the compact SUV has now gone up to 9 months. As of now, the Japanese carmaker has received close to 20,000 bookings. It will be interesting to see the sales of the Magnite once the Renault Kiger is introduced in the market sharing the same platform, engine and most of the features.
Honda – The Japanese carmaker is pulling out of the Russian market by 2022. Honda will retain the sales of motorcycles and power equipment in Russia but will stop selling cars. The reason behind this decision is the drastic decline of 50 percent of sales in that region last month.
HSRP – The announcement of mandatory high security registration plates (HSRP) and colour-coded stickers ended up in a panic situation in Delhi-NCR. The website has now been simplified and the authorities are working on reducing the waiting period. The fields are now relatively less as they have connected it with Vaahan portal that automatically detects the vehicle information.
BEST – The Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) will auction Mumbai’s iconic double decker buses as they plan to introduce a new fleet from 2021. A batch of 100 double-decker buses will be rolled out in a phased manner from 2021. The new fleet will get more features and will comply with the latest emission norms.
