JLR – The British luxury carmaker has appointed a new CEO Thierry Bollore. He headed Renault previously and will now replace Ralf Speth as Jaguar Land Rover CEO from 10th September onwards.
Jawa – The bike maker has introduced their new roadside assistance service for Rs. 1050/- per annum. It is available for all the three motorcycles on offer. This service is available 24×7 across 950 cities in India. It includes facilities like towing for 100 km from the location of the breakdown free of charge. It will also offer roadside repair, puncture, fuel assistance and lost key retrieval.
Maruti Suzuki – India’s largest carmaker saw more than 45 percent enquiries online post the lockdown. The carmaker has revealed that one out of every two car is selling digitally as the lockdown restrictions ease out across the country. This is the latest trend in the market as customers are following social distancing seriously.
NGT – The National Green Tribunal has urged the government to issue a notification on guidelines for scrappage centres. The government announced plans for a scrappage policy more than a year ago for cars older than 15 years. NGT is questioning the ministry for delay.
