News highlights of the day include Mahindra, Toyota and Ducati.
Mahindra XUV500 – The Indian carmaker has updated the XUV500 with BS6 compliant engine. It is now available with a price range of Rs. 13.20-17.70 lakhs (ex-showroom). Only 4 variants are now on offer while petrol variants and automatic variants have been discontinued.
Mahindra Scorpio – The Scorpio range has also been updated with BS6 compliant engine. It is available with a price range of Rs. 12.40-16 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Scorpio BS6 is available in 4 variants – S5, S7, S9 and S11.
Toyota Vellfire – The Japanese carmaker has introduced special edition Toyota Vellfire Golden Eye in Japan. There are cosmetic changes on the exterior with black elements and golden inserts. The interiors too get tweaked with new upholstery. There are no cosmetic changes. The special edition is not expected to come to India anytime soon.
Ducati – The Italian performance bike maker has teased the Ducati Panigale V2 on social media. The bike will be introduced in India soon, it will be positioned under the Ducati Panigale V4. The V2 is powered by a 955cc, L-twin cylinder engine producing 153 BHP at 10,750 RPM and 104 Nm at 9000 RPM, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
