News highlights of the day include Triumph, Ola, Royal Enfield and Skoda.
Triumph – The premium British bike maker is about to launch the Tiger 900 soon in India. It will be available in Rally Pro, Rally and GT variants. Triumph is now officially accepting bookings for the bike in India. Booking amount is Rs. 50,000/-.
Ola – Ola Electric to launch their first two-wheeler in India in 2021. They have acquired Etergo BV, Netherlands-based electric scooter company. The electric scooter will be introduced in India as well as global markets.
Royal Enfield – The Indian bike brand has opened mobile dealership in Thailand. The showroom is made out of large shipping containers. These can be moved from one place to another.
Skoda – Only 200 units of Skoda Octavia RS 245 were imported in India. All the 200 units were booked soon after the bookings opened. However, since the pandemic crisis begun, many of those bookings got cancelled. There are still a few units left with some dealers in limited colour options.
