Mercedes – The German luxury carmaker has delivered 550 cars during Navratri and Dussehra. Out of these, 175 units were delivered in Delhi. Mercedes-Benz India is expecting strong demand during Diwali and Dhanteras period. Mercedes C-Class, E-Class, GLC, GLE and GLS SUVs were the most preferred cars.
Tata Motors – The Indian carmaker has hit a new milestone achieving 4 million passenger vehicle production. Tata Motors entered the PV business in 1988. They have produced 1 million cars in the last 5 years itself. With a fresh lineup of vehicles and many new products lined up for the future, the carmaker is expected to churn out more volumes in the near future.
Honda – The Japanese 2-wheeler maker has put on hold their third production line in the Gujarat plant. They are putting on hold their expansion plan due to the lukewarm market from the last 2 years and the uncertainties from the ongoing pandemic.
Maruti – The Maruti Baleno has completed 5 years of sale in India and the premium hatch has achieved more than 8 lakh unit sales. It is also the best selling hatchback since 2016. It was introduced with both petrol and diesel engine options. Now it is only available with a petrol motor which is a 1.2-litre BS6 compliant engine with Smart Hybrid technology.
