Segway – Segway to discontinue their personal transporter after 20 years. The production will be axed by 15th July. The reason behind discontinuation is the diminishing revenue due to the high price and most importantly the safety as there have been many accidents with the Segway personal transporter as it easily goes out of control if not operated properly.
Land Rover – Due to the disruptions in the production of vehicles, Land Rover is now focussing to introduce Defender 110 first to the international markets before the smaller Defender 90. While the Defender 110 will arrive in India with its original timeline of August 2020, the Defender 90 bookings are on hold and is expected to come later.
Aston Martin – Aston Martin’s first ever motorcycle is now in its next phase of development. AMB 001 by Aston Martin and Brough Superior has now hit the track for dynamic testing before it goes on sale later this year. It is being tested on the Pau-Arnos track in France. This will be limited to only 100 examples worldwide.
Fuel Pump – Bharat Petrol fuel pump in Pune has come up with new self service initiative to promote social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Customers can fill the fuel themselves by opting volume, cost or full tank in the machines. Once they are done filling the vehicle, they need to put the nozzle back and pay for the fuel. Self service fuel stations are very common in many countries, it is likely to expand across other states in India.
