Retail Fuel Market – The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved the Review of Guidelines for Granting Authorisation to market Transportation Fuels. Private entities looking for authorisation need to have a minimum net worth of Rs. 250 crores instead of the previous requirement of Rs. 2000 crores. This will encourage investment in the oil and gas sector from private players including foreign players.
Honda Activa – Honda has sold 13,93,256 units of Activa during the April to September 2019 period. The Activa is currently the best selling scooter and the best selling two-wheeler in the Indian market. However, the sales this year is down from 17,86,687 units last year, which is a 22 percent decline.
Revolt Intellicorp – The electric bike maker has sold out both the Revolt RV 400 and 300 for the month of November and December 2019. The company has started accepting bookings for the batch of January-February 2020. The electric bikes are available with both subscription plans and one time payment.
Bajaj Pulsar – The smallest capacity Pulsar has crossed 40,000 units sales since its launch in August 2019. The Bajaj Pulsar 125 which is good for 12 BHP and 11 Nm is churning out good volumes in the market since its launch.
Tata Altroz – The much awaited premium hatchback from Tata Motors will be revealed in its production form in December. The Indian carmaker is expected to launch the hatchback early next year. It will compete with Maruti Baleno, Honda Jazz, Hyundai i20 and the likes in the premium hatch segment.
Volkswagen Golf – The eighth generation, 2020 Volkswagen Golf has been revealed. The latest iteration looks sharp from outside and futuristic from inside. The new Golf is loaded with tech and high-end features. It will be available in the global markets with multiple engine options – diesel, petrol, CNG and plug-in hybrid.
Motor Trivia – There are a lot of manufacturers around the world which manufacture thousands of vehicles on a daily basis. However, Ferrari is one such manufacturer which produces a maximum of 14 cars in a day. It all boils down to exclusivity, the number of optional extras to be installed on the vehicles, the massive range of colours & upholstery options and of course the fine attention to detail.
