News highlights of the day include Jawa, Royal Enfield, Polestar and Triumph.
Jawa – Jawa, Forty Two and Perak bikes deliveries have been delayed due to the ongoing Coronavirus impact. The bike maker had scheduled to commence Perak deliveries from 2nd April which has now been postponed until further notice. They are also planning to ramp up production to 10,000 units per month once the situation gets normal.
Royal Enfield – The Indian bike maker has a substantial global presence and due to the COVID-19 outbreak, they have shut all their operations across the globe until further notice.
Polestar 2 – While the rest of the world is having a hard time coping with the Coronavirus outbreak, China has resumed all their operations. Production of the Polestar 2 EV has now commenced in China. The electric vehicle is based on Volvo’s Compact Modular Architecture (CMA).
Triumph Street Triple RS – The 2020 Triumph Street Triple RS India launch was scheduled to happen on 25th March. The British premium bike maker has now postponed the launch of the bike until further notice.
