News highlights of the day include BMW, Google, Kia, Triumph and Piaggio.
BMW Motorrad – The German bike maker is offering big discounts on BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS. The bikes are being offered at ex-showroom price as the dealerships are giving equivalent discounts of covering registration and insurance charges.
Kia Carnival – The much awaited premium MPV from Kia is about to launch in India in January 2020. The teasers have been released and the expected price of the MPV is Rs. 30 lakhs. It will be a more premium rival to the Toyota Innova and will be offered in India via the CKD route.
Triumph – The premium British motorcycle maker is offering My Triumph Connectivity System in India. It is priced at Rs. 19,568/- and comes with software updates of the module and for the TFT displays along with dedicated My Triumph mobile app. It can be installed in Scrambler 1200 XC and Triumph Rocket 3 R bikes in India.
Piaggio – The company has updated their entire scooter lineup of Vespa and Aprilia with BS6 compliant engines. The scooters include Vespa 125cc and 150cc range, Aprilia SR with 160cc and 125cc and Storm 125cc. Piaggio states it’s Aprilia 160cc instead of 150cc, there is no concrete info yet if the engine’s displacement has been increased or not, the company is yet to reveal the details.
