News highlights of the day include Triumph Motorcycles, MG Motor, Ducati and Land Rover.
Triumph – After the introduction of Street Triple RS, Triumph is gearing up to introduce the Street Triple R in India in June. It is the mid-spec trim of the bike that will sit below the Triumph Street Triple RS.
MG Motor – The carmaker has donated 100 Hector SUVs for COVID-19 relief in India. The Hector will be offered to the essential service personnel till the end of May 2020. The vehicles will be provided with fuel and chauffeur to doctors, medical staff, police and govt officials fighting the virus.
Ducati – All the Ducati bikes sold in India that will be getting warranty lapse between 24th March and 3rd May, 2020 will get a warranty extension by the Italian bike maker till 1st June. Ducati will hike the extended warranty packages after June in India.
Land Rover – The British luxury carmaker introduces new 1.5-litre 3-cylinder plug-in hybrid Evoque and Discovery Sport in the international markets. This engine produces 197 HP with a 107 HP electric motor and 15 kWh battery. Combined power output is 304 HP and 504 Nm of torque.
