News highlights of the day include TVS, Maruti, Mahindra and Kia.
TVS – The Indian bike maker has teased their first ever electric scooter. It will be introduced on 25th January. It is expected to be based on the TVS Creon electric scooter showcased last time at the Auto Expo.
TVS Apache RTR 160 – The bike has been launched in BS6 avatar with a price tag of Rs. 93,500/-. Dealers have started accepting bookings for the same and deliveries of the bike will commence soon. It is Rs. 6000 more expensive than the BS4 trim and now produces 15.5 HP and 13.9 Nm of torque which has been increased from 15.1 HP and 13 Nm.
Mahindra – The Indian carmaker will be showcasing 18 new products at the Auto Expo 2020 next month. The lineup will include BS6 models, electric cars, concepts and facelifts of the existing products. Mahindra will focus on the electric vehicle range this time at the Expo.
Maruti Jimny – Maruti Suzuki is likely to showcase the popular Suzuki Jimny compact SUV at the Auto Expo 2020. Many enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for this car to be launched in India thanks to its quirky design.
Kia Carnival – The premium MPV bookings have begun ahead of its launch at the Auto Expo. Kia has received 1410 bookings on the first day. 64 percent of the bookings have come for the range topping Limousine trim.
