News highlights of the day include TVS, Royal Enfield, Nissan and Suzuki.
TVS XL 100 – The popular TVS XL 100 has got a BS6 update and is priced from Rs. 43,889/-. The price has been increased by up to Rs. 3500/-. It has got an updated 99.7cc BS6 engine with new fuel injection addition that produces 4.4 HP at 6000 RPM and 6.5 Nm at 3500 RPM.
Royal Enfield – The Indian bike maker has completely sold out all the existing inventory of BS4 motorcycles across all their dealerships in the country. They now have only BS6 compliant range of bikes across their entire portfolio in India.
Nissan – The Japanese carmaker is changing their logo to a monochromatic style simple design. They are preparing to introduce the next generation Nissan 370Z soon with a redesigned Z logo as well.
Suzuki Intruder – Suzuki has updated the Intruder with a BS6 engine, it is priced at Rs. 1.20 lakhs (ex-showroom). There are no cosmetic changes or new features added to the bike. Powered by a 155cc, fuel injected, air-cooled engine producing 13.6 PS at 8000 RPM and 13.8 Nm at 6000 RPM mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
