2017 Maruti Celerio Facelift Review

The BS6 Maruti Celerio asks for a premium of around Rs. 15,000/- to Rs. 24,000/- over the BS4-compliant models

BS6 Maruti Suzuki Celerio – Maruti Suzuki has just launched the BS6-compliant version of the Celerio, with prices ranging from Rs. 4.41 lakhs for the base LXi variant going up to Rs. 5.67 lakhs for the ZXi (O) AMT. This translates to a premium of around Rs. 15,000/- to Rs. 24,000/- over the BS4-compliant models.

BattRE LoEV Electric Scooter -BattRE Electric Mobility Private Limited, has launched a new electric scooter called BattRE LoEV, priced at Rs. 59,900/- (ex-showroom). The LoEV is positioned as a premium entry-level electric scooter, and boasts of features like dual disc brakes, remote key, anti-theft alarm, reverse gear, wheel immobiliser, 10 AMP fast charger, two hours charging time, as well as a detachable lithium ferro phosphate battery with three years’ warranty.

BS6 MG Hector Diesel – The BS6 MG Hector diesel prices will be spiked up by around Rs. 1.25 lakhs. The SUV may not see any other changes, apart from upgraded engines. It will continue to be sold with 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol with 48V mild-hybrid system and 2.0-litre diesel engine options.

Hero Electric Flash – Hero Electric has announced a limited time discount offer of Rs. 7088/- on the company’s most affordable electric scooter, the Hero Electric Flash. The lead-acid battery-powered version of the Flash electric scooter now starts at Rs. 29,900/- (ex-showroom, pan-India), and Rs. 32,710/- (ex-showroom, North East India).

Hyundai Aura Interior – Images of the upcoming Hyundai Aura’s interior have surfaced, providing new details on the equipment on offer. The top-spec Aura SX(O) will be equipped with the 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 5.3-inch part-digital instrument cluster and cruise control, along with an automatic climate control system, wireless charging, rear AC vents, the four-speaker Arkamys sound system and keyless entry and go.

Motor Trivia – Did you know, Electric cars are not a new thing; they were already being manufactured in 1905. Rauch & Lang produced electric cars until 1920, when the gas-combustion engine became cheaper to run because of low gas prices!
