Tata – The Indian carmaker recently revealed the official images of the new generation Tata Safari. Based on the Omegarc platform which underpins the Harrier, the new generation Safari won’t come with 4WD at the time of launch. However, out of curiosity, we imagine a hard-core off-road version of the SUV. Tell us what do you think about it in the comments.
Volkswagen – The German carmaker managed to sell out the entire first batch of the Volkswagen T-Roc in India soon after its launch in 2020. Now, even the second batch of the T-Roc is fully-booked ahead of its arrival in India. It was imported as a CBU product with a price tag of Rs. 19.99 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Honda – The new generation Honda HR-V with a hybrid powertrain will be revealed soon with a new design language. The Japanese carmaker has released a teaser of their new SUV. It is expected to come with a 2.0-litre petrol engine paired with 2 electric motors. We expect Honda to introduce the new gen HR-V in India as well but the timeline isn’t confirmed.
Hyundai – Hyundai launched the new generation i20 late last year in India. In spite of the fact that the range topping model costs upwards of Rs. 11 lakhs (ex-showroom), the premium hatch is getting a lot of attention in the market. So much so that it has a waiting period of up to three months.
Motor Trivia – Did you know, Robert Pattinson’s Batmobile in the Batman is a modified 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, with a Ford Triton V10 engine.
Comment of the day – I have spoken! – “Looks like they have also added some cushion in the seats but who cares.. they already lost the opportunity.. 2k sales per month with such a potential product & brand history is shame.”
