News highlights of the day include Skoda, Yamaha, Toyota and Porsche.
Skoda Rapid – Skoda will update the Rapid with BS6 compliant engines in April. It will get some cosmetic and feature updates as well. The Rapid is likely to get a new BS6 compliant 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine.
Yamaha FZ – Yamaha India has issued a recall for the Yamaha FZ FI and FZ-S FI models. 7757 units of the motorcycle manufactured from October 2019 have been affected. The recall has been issued due to non-fitment of rear-side reflector.
Toyota Innova – The Toyota Innova is getting a BS6 upgrade in January and some dealers have already started accepting bookings for the same. The new BS6 compliant Innova units will commence deliveries by the end of January 2020. The prices are likely to increase from January.
Porsche Macan – The German performance carmaker has introduced the new 2020 Porsche Macan GTS. It will be positioned between the ‘S’ and range topping ‘Turbo’ variants. The GTS is likely to be launched in the Indian market soon. It is powered by a 2.9-litre, V6 petrol engine that produces 380 HP. Does 0-100 km/hr in 4.7 seconds and has a top speed of 260 km/hr.

Comment of the day – Sreedhar – “Whatever Maruti does , they will do with single engine only .Even if they launch rocket also will have same 1.5 liter engine. Previously they were with 1.3 ,now at least upgraded for that we should be happy.”
