News highlights of the day include Audi, Mercedes-Benz and Renault.
Audi A8 – The German luxury carmaker will introduce their flagship new generation A8 in India on 3rd February. The much awaited premium luxury sedan will come with a mild-hybrid 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine. It will be launched in India with a long-wheelbase version.
Mercedes EQC – Mercedes-Benz will launch their first all-electric car EQC in India in April 2020. The German luxury carmaker is betting big on the electric future under their sustainable luxury philosophy. The Mercedes EQC gets 407 HP and 765 Nm of torque with its electric motor and has a range of up to 400 km.
Mercedes-Benz – The German luxury carmaker will introduce more than 10 products in India this year. This includes the new GLE SUV, EQC, GLS, GLB and a few more products that will also include AMG cars.
Renault Duster – The French carmaker is offering heavy discounts of up to Rs. 1.50 lakhs on the Renault Duster. This move comes across during the BS6 transition. Renault is clearing the stock as they will not offer diesel engine with the compact SUV in BS6 guise.
Motor Trivia – Did you know, Volkswagen’s DSG automatic gearbox is world’s second fastest gearbox after Ferrari’s transmission. It can shift a gear in 0.02 seconds.
