Hyundai – The South Korean carmaker is all set to introduce the first product of their all-electric sub-brand Ioniq. Ioniq 5 will be the first EV to launch in early-2021. It will be based on the Hyundai 45 Concept and will have a compact crossover design. Hyundai India has made no official announcement on Ioniq’s India launch yet.
Hyundai – The new generation Hyundai i20 is achieving new milestones with every passing day. It has been received well in the market as the carmaker has received over 30,000 bookings in 40 days while they have delivered over 10,000 units so far.
Mahindra – The Indian carmaker is offering year-end discounts of up to Rs. 3 lakhs. These offers are not available for the new Mahindra Thar as the lifestyle vehicle is in high demand. There are offers for up to Rs. 50,000/- on the XUV500, up to Rs. 30,000/- on the XUV300 and Scorpio, up to Rs. 60,000/- on KUV100 and a whopping Rs. 3 lakhs offer on the Mahindra Alturas.
Fastag – The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has announced that Mumbai is now Fastag ready. While the Vashi toll plaza and the Bandra-Worli sealink has already adopted the system, the Airoli Toll Plaza, Mulund Eastern Express Way and Mulund (LBS Marg) has just gone live with the system. Dahisar toll plazas will implement the Fastag tech soon. Moreover, NPCI expects all parking lots in the city to gradually adopt 100 percent contactless parking with the Fastag platform.
