Moto Morini Slashes Prices Of Seiemmezzo 650cc, Upto Rs. 2 Lakh

Moto Morini Has Slashed The Prices Of Seiemmezzo 650 Retro Street By Rs. 2 Lakhs & 650 Scrambler By Rs. 1.9 Lakhs

Moto Morini has reduced the prices of the Seiemmezzo 650 Retro Street and 650 Scrambler. The pricing slash is significant upto Rs. 2 lakhs. The reason for this price cut can be due to less-than-expected sales and it seems to be a welcomed change for the Italian neo-retro bikes.

Revised Pricing Details

Moto Morini revised the prices of the Seiemmezzo 650 Retro Street and 650 Scrambler. The 650 Retro Street is a bike that features a modern classic design and was priced at Rs. 6.99 Lakh (ex-showroom). However, the price cut of Rs. 2 Lakh makes it available at Rs. 4.99 Lakh (ex-showroom).

The 650 Scrambler is a road-centric offroader which was priced at Rs. 7.10 Lakh (ex-showroom). However, it has received a price cut of Rs. 1.90 Lakh. This makes the 650 Scrambler available at Rs. 5.20 Lakh (ex-showroom), making it more competitive against its competitors.

Engine & Performance Details

The Scrambler and Retro Street models share the 649cc liquid-cooled parallel twin engine that produces 55.6 HP and 54 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The power figures make it one of the most powerful offerings in the segment.

Similarities & Differences

The 650 Retro Street and Scrambler share the same seat height and suspension travel. However, the Scrambler runs on spoked rims as opposed to the alloy rims on the Retro Street. The Retro Street also features a beak-style front mudguard and a small tinted windscreen.

Moto Morini: Italian But Chinese

The Moto Morini brand carries Italian lineage but is owned by the Chinese Zhongeng Vehicle Group. It is operating in India with the help of Adishwar Auto Ride India which also has brands like Zontes, Benelli, Keeway and QJ Motors. Last year, Moto Morini has also slashed the prices of the X-Cape 650 and X-Cape 650X Adventure bikes.

Outlook

Overall, the Moto Morini brand may have been a little optimistic with prices in the beginning which they seemed to resolve. The revised prices should entice more buyers than before and adopt an alternative to the usual offerings you get in the Indian market.
