Bajaj Auto working on a more powerful version of the Chetak.
Bajaj Auto recently introduced their first electric scooter and it was a big comeback of Chetak after a long time. Production of the electric scooter commenced on 26th September 2019 while the bookings are expected to commence from January 2020.
Rajiv Bajaj has further revealed more details about their next electric product recently. The bike maker is working on a new more powerful version of the Chetak. This electric scooter will be sold under the KTM/Husqvarna branding in the Indian market.
Development is at a very early stage and we can expect the premium brands to give it a youthful appeal with a sharp and bold design language. The performance electric scooter will be based on the Chetak platform but is expected to get premium hardware like better brakes, suspension, etc.
Meanwhile, Bajaj is all set to introduce the Chetak in the market starting from January 2020. The electric scooter will be rolled out in a phased manner.
