The new generation Bajaj Pulsar has been one of the most anticipated bikes of the Indian motorcycling industry of the year 2012. I would be rating it at the Number 2 spot, right after the Duke 200 in order of anticipation. Bajaj on the other hand, even after so much speculation from all the auto journalism houses has managed to keep the details and technical specifications under wraps. Time and again there have been spy shots caught by some people which helped us to find out some details about it. This time, a reader of Motoroids has caught some close spy shots of the Bajaj Pulsar being tested on the Mumbai- Pune highway. We expect Bajaj to launch this bike by the end of this month or early Feburary.
Fresh details have surfaced out after looking closely at the spy shots. The engine is definitely of the KTM genre and according to the spy shot photographer, gives an awesome sound when revved hard. The rear mono-shock is gas-charged and the exhaust muffler is placed right below the engine. A big radiator is placed at the front, making it a liquid cooled engine. The liquid cooling suggests it is definitely is a big displacement bike (200cc or more). The tail lamp and the rear panels have striking similarity to those of the Pulsar 135 as we had noted earlier. The seat gets a stepped design like that of the Pulsar 220. The clip-on handlebars have a new design and the overall stance is not too sporty. The new generation Pulsar is definitely going to be a better version than the current ones, the question is how better?
