The news for the 250cc TVS Apache has been emerging from a long time and it is anticipated that the motorcycle is in its testing phase that has beckoned a lot of Indian moto-bugs. The developing 250cc segment has become the wish for young bike fanatics and to rival with existing leaders, it is expected that TVS will launch a potential product in the segment. The current Apache that was launched in 2007 has been popular for its brisk performance and the compact styling with race inspired handling.
However, TVS has not shared any word about the 250cc Apache except a teaser that has given a likely hint for the new model. The joint venture speculations between BMW Motorrad and TVS have also boosted the craves for Indian fanatics and the recently emerged images of a modified Apache 160 from Indonesia have gone viral on the web world and speculated to be a spy pic of the upcoming big brother of the Apache. The modified bike features a full fairing head and no doubt the fit and finish looks fantastic in the image. The fairing style resembles the look of a premium motorcycle and seems appealing in the first instance.
Although, the proportions of the fairing do not match with the size of the motorcycle like the front tyre, mudguard, foot pegs, silencer and tank don’t go with the overall design and one can judge the modification job with a keen eye observation. These modifications have been done aftermarket and not by TVS. The job is top notch and boosts the appeal of the Apache by several notches.
The upcoming higher capacity TVS Apache could be powered by a 250cc liquid-cooled engine, expected to produce anything between 25-30 BHP of power. Apparently, TVS will stick a price tag of approximately Rs. 1.50 lakhs and is expected to launch the quarter-litre machine by the first quarter of 2014. If the TVS 250 sports a full fairing with a fierce engine, the product will be an attractive option for the customers.
