MINI has launched the John Cooper Works (JCW) GP Inspired Edition at a price tag of Rs. 46.90 lakhs (ex-showroom) in India.
The CBU offering is limited to only 15 units and can be booked exclusively on the MINI India website.
This limited edition MINI comes with the JCW GP Pack and gets Racing Grey Metallic colour with contrasting Melting Silver Metallic roof, mirror caps and rear spoiler. It rides on 18-inch JCW Cup Spoke two-tone alloys.
Further, the exterior surrounds and inner parts of headlights, rear lights, door handles, fuel filler cap, front grille surround and the MINI badging get Piano Black treatment, while the JCW side scuttles and air intake trim come in carbon fibre.
Inside, the MINI JCW GP Inspired Edition gets Sports Seats in Leather Dinamica finish with GP badging, steering wheel wrapped in ‘Walknappa’ leather with red stitching, 3D-printed paddles and stainless steel pedal caps.
Also, the car’s door sill finishers feature GP badging, the floor mats have the GP logo, while there is also a panorama glass roof.
An LED ring surrounds the circular central 6.5-inch screen that has standard features like Apple CarPlay, MINI Navigation System, Radio MINI Visual Boost with touch functionality, USB interface and Harman Kardon Hi-Fi Audio System.
Moreover, the standard ‘Minimalism’ tech includes auto start/stop function, brake energy recuperation, shift point display and electromechanical power steering.
In addition, the ‘MINI Excitement Package’ provides LED interior and ambient lighting as well as MINI logo projection on the driver’s side when the door is opened.
Engine-wise, the 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine puts out 231 HP and 320 Nm and comes mated to an 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission with limited slip differential. This enables the car to hit 100 km/hr in 6.1 seconds.
Three driving Modes namely standard, Sport and Green modes are present, while the standard driver assistance systems include park distant control and rear view camera.
On the safety front, the car gets front and passenger airbags, Brake Assist, Dynamic Stability Control, crash sensor, ABS, Cornering Brake Control and a run-flat Indicator.
