Since the teaser is out, the MINI Electric should be introduced very soon in India
MINI India has released the teaser of the MINI Electric on its website and social media pages ahead of the launch of the electric vehicle (EV) in the market.
Equipped with a 32.6 kWh Lithium-ion battery (gross capacity), the electric hatchback is powered by a 135 kW (181 BHP) electric motor that puts out 270 Nm of peak torque.
It has 225-233 km range (WLTP) and a rated energy consumption figure of (up to) 15.9 kWh per 100 km. As for acceleration, the EV can sprint to 100 km/hr from nought in 7.3 seconds and achieve a top speed of 150 km/hr.
According to MINI, it only takes 36 minutes to completely charge the battery using a DC fast charger, 2.5 hours using a 11 kW AC charger or 12 hours when charged at home.
Measuring 3845 mm long, 1928 mm wide and 1432 mm tall, the MINI Electric has 211 litres of boot space and comes with equipment such as adaptive LED headlights, LED tail lamps, multifunctional Nappa leather steering wheel, sport seats, digital instrument cluster, 8.8-inch touchscreen, ambient lighting, among others.
Available overseas in 5 different grades, the MINI Electric comes with 8 year or 1.60 lakh km battery warranty and can be fitted with 16- or 17-inch wheels from factory.
