MG Windsor EV Prices Increased By Rs. 50,000/-

MG Windsor EV intro price & complimentary charging comes to an end

MG Motor India has increased the prices of its Windsor EV by Rs. 50,000/-, bringing an end to the introductory pricing and complimentary charging benefits. The new pricing structure comes into effect as the automaker surpasses the initial sales milestone of 10,000 units.

Revised Prices

The MG Windsor EV is now priced as follows (ex-showroom):

This marks a significant shift from the introductory pricing that was applicable at the time of the vehicle’s launch in September 2024. The special prices had been extended for the first 10,000 units, a milestone MG achieved by December.

Performance and Features

The Windsor EV is equipped with a 38 kWh battery, offering a claimed range of 332 km on a single charge. It is powered by an electric motor producing 134 BHP and 200 Nm of torque. The vehicle supports four driving modes—Eco+, Eco, Normal and Sport—catering to a range of driving preferences.

For added convenience, the Windsor EV is compatible with DC fast charging, which can recharge the battery to 80% in just 40 minutes, enhancing its appeal to urban commuters and EV enthusiasts.

Changes to Complimentary Charging Offer

Alongside the price hike, the free charging offer available via the MG e-hub app has also been discontinued. This benefit was exclusively available to customers who took delivery of their vehicles before 31st December, 2024.

Market Implications

The revised pricing reflects the conclusion of MG’s introductory phase for the Windsor EV. While the price increase may impact affordability for some potential buyers, the vehicle remains competitively priced within the growing EV market. Its combination of modern features, practical range and fast-charging capabilities continue to make it a viable option for customers looking to transition to electric mobility.

The Windsor EV’s performance in the coming months will indicate how these changes influence its demand, especially in the context of India’s rapidly evolving EV landscape.
