MG To Launch 7-Seater Hector Plus In January 2021
The carmaker has also announced that it will hike the price of its models from 1st January 2021.
MG Motor India has announced that it will launch the 7-seater Hector Plus in the market come January next year.
Launched earlier this year, the Hector Plus came only as a 6-seater and currently costs between Rs. 15.70 lakhs and Rs. 18.69 lakhs (ex-showroom, India, except Kerala).
The captain seats in the second row not only offered plenty of comfort, they also made it easy to access the last row of seats.
However, it did mean that it was a strict 6-seater, which will be addressed with the introduction of the 7-seater Hector Plus. Expect the same levels of comfort to be offered, but with space for one more occupant.
Of course, the only slight downfall with a middle row bench seat is that accessing the last row seats will just a tad bit tricky for us lazy folks.
No mechanical or visual changes are expected to be made to the car and it is likely to come with the same set of features as the 6-seater version.
Thus, it will come with leatherette seat upholstery, a 7-inch instrument display, 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, connected car features, electrically adjustable front passenger seats, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, among several other features.
Similarly, the 1.5-litre turbo petrol (including the mild hybrid version) and the 2.0-litre diesel engine options and safety equipment will also be carried over. However, there might be a slight cost difference between the 6- and 7-seater cars.
In addition, to the announcement about the MG Hector Plus 7-seater launch, the carmaker has also announced that it will increase the cost of all of its models by up to 3 percent, which will be applicable from 1st January 2021.
