MG Hector Plus is now officially listed on MG Motor website as the 6-seater SUV is all set to launch by mid-July. The carmaker is targeting the Toyota Innova Crysta among other 6/7-seater products available in the market or coming soon.
In terms of styling, the Hector Plus resembles the 5-seater version from some angles but gets distinct elements to differentiate the more premium characteristics of the 6-seater SUV.
The front profile is dominated by a larger grille and new set of LED headlamps and DRLs combo. There is a revised bumper integrating the new LED headlight with floating indicators. The alloy wheels remain unchanged.
The rear profile gets a new tailgate and revised tail lamps along with a new bumper. The red strip between the tail lights is deleted.
The interiors get tan brown leatherette upholstery. The middle-row gets captain seats with individual arm rests. The third row gets individual AC vents and adjustable headrests.
It will come with the same engine options as the regular 5-seater Hector. The 1.5-litre turbo petrol and 2.0-litre diesel engine in BS6 guise. It’ll get 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options.
The 6-seater SUV will compete against the Toyota Innova Crysta, Mahindra XUV500, upcoming Tata Gravitas.
