The latest teaser of the upcoming MG Hector facelift shows an Argyle inspired diamond mesh grille
MG has put up a teaser of the upcoming Hector facelift that shows a new Argyle inspired diamond mesh grille. The company claimed that the SUV will have bold design, powerful presence, and unmatched indulgence.
A pure harmony of commanding exteriors and indulgent interiors is about to hit the road, the company teased.
A little earlier, MG teased the car’s interiors and said buyers will feel a cinematic and immersive experience complemented by a huge 14-inch HD portrait infotainment system. The brand claimed that the system will become the largest in India.
In the backdrop of this teaser, the test mule of the SUV has also been spotted in an unique coffee coloured metallic paint shade.
On the outgoing model, the front bottom grille is a plain trapezoidal honeycomb unit. But, on the test mule, there are 2 bottom grilles intersected by body line with chrome garnish.
The eyebrow LED DRLs, and the LED headlamp and fog lamp elements look the same as before but get redesigned and blacked-out surrounds.
The paired 5-spoke alloy wheels have been retained from the outgoing model. The side shoulder crease can be seen as well. The rear quarter glass area has been completely covered. Maybe, MG might make it a little bigger for better roominess.
As per various rumours, the facelifted version is likely to share a lot of features with its international cousin, Wuling Almaz. The Almaz gets a host of ADAS features
The features include Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, Intelligent High Beam Assistance, Vehicle Remote Control, Vehicle Positioning, Bluetooth Key, Geo-fencing Security, and Online Navigation.
As far as powertrains go, expect MG to retain the existing setup. It will compete against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier, Mahindra Scorpio N, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, etc.
