MG Hector Facelift Reaches Showrooms As Its Launch Nears

The front radiator grille is new and looks much better

MG Motor India is getting ready to launch the 2021 Hector facelift this month and, ahead of its launch, the facelifted model has started reaching dealerships.

The exterior of the Hector facelift is not too different to the pre-facelift car, sporting an updated grille with chrome embellishments and larger dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels.

However, the updated interior comes as a much more premium-looking affair with a dual-tone theme, with the seats upholstered in beige material complimented by black sections.

There is more, as the Hector facelift will come with even more features. Ventilated front seats, auto-dimming IRVM, wireless smartphone charger with an USB port alongside, will all be offered.

While other features will be carried over and the overall cabin layout will remain the same, the 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system is expected to be upgraded this time around.

Expect no changes with regard to the safety features on offer as well the SUV’s powertrain options, which include a 1.5-litre petrol and 2.0-litre diesel motor, but there is likely to be slight bump in the asking price.

Word is that MG might offer the SUV with 4-wheel-drive and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), but we will have to see if it really happens.

Also, it is highly possible that the Hector Plus 7-seater will be introduced when the 2021 MG Hector facelift launch takes place this month.
