MG has launched the Hector Anniversary Edition with a price tag of Rs. 13.64 lakhs for the petrol variant and Rs. 15 lakhs (both prices, ex-showroom India, excluding Kerala) for the diesel variant.
This is to celebrate the completion of one year of the car’s presence in our market. It was launched on 27th June 2019 with four variants and three engine options.
Out of those variants, it is the “Super” trim that the MG Hector anniversary edition is based on. Even the price of the new edition remains the same, corresponding with the stated trim.
However, customers get new features such as wireless mobile charging, air purifier and Medklinn Kit for interior sterilisation, the latter feature is said to eliminate bacteria and viruses using “active oxygen”.
No changes have been made to the features list otherwise. Thus, the MG Hector anniversary edition comes with 10.4-inch touchscreen with offline maps, LED headlights, tail lamps and rear fog lights, steering-mounted controls, cruise control, 17-inch alloys, parking sensors all-round, dual airbags, ABS, ESP, TCS, among several other equipment.
Also, the MG Shield programme that assures customers a buyback option for the car after three years at 60 percent of the original price has also been extended to the anniversary edition along with zero down-payment option and a special invitation EMI of Rs. 22,222/-.
Engine options include the 1.5-litre turbo petrol and 2.0-litre diesel, but the gearbox option is limited just one – a 6-speed manual. No DCT or mild hybrid options are offered with the new edition.
