MG Motor showcased their flagship for the first time in India at the Auto Expo 2020. The MG Gloster is now about to launch in the market by Diwali this year. Which means, it will hit the showrooms by November for sure.

The SUV is teased on the official website and is doing a lot of rounds across the country as quite a few test mules are being spotted of late.

MG Motor is aiming to sell 5000-6000 units of the Gloster annually in India. The company claims it is a product competing in the Rs. 80-90 lakhs segment but they will price it around Rs. 50 lakhs (ex-showroom).

They say the Gloster is not a Toyota Fortuner or Ford Endeavour rival but it competes in the segment above it.

It will come with a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 218 PS and 480 Nm of torque. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. It will also be offered with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine option.

The Gloster is a full-size 3-row SUV which will be offered with 6-seater and 7-seater layouts. It measures 5005 mm in length, 1932 mm in width and 1875 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2950 mm. The overall design looks rugged with a typical SUV bulk thanks to the big dimensions.
