The MG eZS electric SUV will be launched in India by the end of this year and it will have a range of more than 350 kms.
MG Motor India will be launching the Hector by June 2019 and the company has now announced that they will be launching the eZS electric SUV by the end of the year in India. The MG eZS will be brought down as a CBU from Shanghai and 250 units of the vehicle will be imported.
The MG eZS is likely to come with a 52.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that will take around 8 hours for a full charge from a wall charger. This battery pack is also used by other vehicles in the SAIC portfolio. The eZS will most likely have a range of more than 350 kms on a full charge.
Later on, MG has plans to localise the electric SUV too and even parts like the battery pack will be locally made. The company has taken over the GM Halol plant and it has an annual production capacity of 80,000 units. The MG Hector which is based on the Baojun 530 will be locally made in Halol.
