MG Cyberster Unveiled In India At Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025

The Indian Automotive Industry is witnessing a seismic shift as MG Motor unveils its highly anticipated electric roadster, the MG Cyberster. It is positioned as a game-changer in the EV market, combining futuristic design and exhilarating performance, signalling a new era for electric vehicles in the country. The grand reveal took place at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, a premier platform so let’s take a closer look.

Design

The MG Cyberster’s design signifies the brand’s innovative approach to mobility. With sleek, aerodynamic lines, and a low-slung profile, the Cyberster captures the essence of a sports car while maintaining a distinctly modern aesthetic. The Cyberster is the first EV to have Scissor Doors. Its LED headlights and connected tail lightbar arrow-shaped tail lights add to its quirky appeal, ensuring that it turns heads wherever it goes. The MG Cyberster also honours its heritage with cool touches like tail lights meant to resemble the British Union Jack, 100th Anniversary badges on the side skirts, and the key which says “MG, The Roaring Raindrop” signifying the land speed record vehicle in the 1950s and resembles the silhouette of the vehicle as well.

Interior

The interior of the Cyberster is equally impressive, featuring a cockpit-inspired layout that prioritizes the driver’s experience. A digital display comprising 3 screens and a heads-up display (HUD) provides vital information seamlessly. The infotainment system also allows the driver to configure the sound that is pumped from the speakers to be of a combustion-engined car or an electric car. The interior is filled with premium materials, making the cabin a perfect blend of luxury and technology.

Powertrain

Under the hood, the MG Cyberster boasts 77 kWh battery pack offering all-wheel drive capabilities and produces 510 HP and 725 NM of instantaneous torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/hr in 3.2 seconds! The Cyberster ensures a range of 444 km on a single charge, addressing range anxiety while promoting long-distance travel. Equipped with fast-charging capabilities, the car can be charged up to 80% in just 30 minutes, thanks to MG’s expanding charging infrastructure in India.

Features & Technology

MG has equipped the Cyberster with an array of smart features. The car incorporates Level 3 autonomous driving capabilities, enabling semi-autonomous highway cruising and smart parking assistance. An AI-integrated infotainment system offers voice commands, personalized recommendations, and seamless smartphone connectivity. Regular Over-The-Air software updates ensure that the Cyberster remains at the forefront of technology.
The MG Cyberster is expected to hit Indian roads in the second half of 2025, with bookings set to open shortly. While MG has yet to reveal the exact pricing, we predict a competitive price point for its segment, potentially starting at around Rs. 1 crore. The Roadster is aimed at enthusiasts seeking a premium, high-performance EV experience.

Final Thoughts

The launch of the MG Cyberster marks a significant milestone in India’s transition to electric mobility. With its stunning design and class-leading technology, the Cyberster can potentially open a Pandora’s Box of EV Sportscars in the country.
