MG opens pre-bookings for the Cyberster EV convertible and M9 electric MPV

MG Motor has officially opened pre-bookings for two of its upcoming electric vehicles in India – the sporty Cyberster EV and the spacious M9 electric MPV. Both models were showcased earlier this year at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo and mark the brand’s continued push towards premium electric mobility in the country.

MG Cyberster EV

Targeting performance enthusiasts and design-conscious buyers, the MG Cyberster is a two-seater electric convertible that will be retailed exclusively through MG’s premium Select dealerships. Customers can pre-book the vehicle with a token amount of Rs. 51,000/-.

The Cyberster is equipped with a 77 kWh battery pack, delivering a claimed range of up to 580 km (CLTC cycle). Powering the vehicle are dual oil-cooled electric motors, one on each axle, producing a combined output of 503 BHP and 725 Nm of torque. MG claims a 0-100 km/hr acceleration time of just 3.2 seconds.

In terms of mechanicals, it features a double wishbone front suspension and a five-link independent rear setup, emphasizing both stability and sporty handling. A folding soft-top roof adds to its roadster appeal.

Alongside the Cyberster, MG has also started accepting bookings for the M9 electric MPV—a rebadged version of the MG Mifa 9 sold internationally. Pre-bookings are now open at MG dealerships for a token amount of Rs. 50,000/-.

The M9 features a boxy design with power-sliding rear doors and offers three-row seating for up to seven occupants. The MPV aims to redefine luxury travel with features such as reclining, ventilated ottoman seats with massage function, three-zone automatic climate control, dual sunroofs and rear-seat entertainment displays.

It is powered by a single electric motor paired with a 90 kWh battery, delivering a range of 430 km on a full charge.
