MG Comet EV name confirmed for their new India-spec electric vehicle
MG Comet EV trademark has been registered by MG Motor India. It is likely to be the electric car that is specifically being made for the Indian market. It is expected to be a small car. Whether it is going to be the production name of the MG Air City EV or a different car altogether, it will be confirmed at the upcoming 2023 Auto Expo next week.
We expect the carmaker to showcase the Comet EV at the motor show. They are betting big on the electric vehicle market for India. MG will have a wide range of EVs to display at the Auto Expo.
They will also showcase MG4 hatchback, MG5 estate and even the MG6 sedan. All these are electric vehicles. The new India centric small EV will be showcased as a concept.
It is expected to be a budget electric vehicle that is likely to be offered in the market with a sub Rs. 10 lakhs price bracket.
Currently, MG Motor offers MG ZS EV, Astor, Hector and Gloster in their Indian portfolio. They are all set to showcase the facelifted Hector tomorrow. It will get new styling elements inside out and new features on offer.
