The MG Astor that was spied came in a classy black exterior colour
MG is gearing up to unveil the Astor tomorrow and just in the nick of time we’ve spied the finished product undisguised.
The Astor is, without a doubt, a car that has proper styling and one would be hard pressed to find a poorly designed part of the vehicle.
This recently spied MG Astor was painted in a shade of black and it had enough contrasting elements like the chrome window garnish and exhaust surrounds, silver coloured roof rails, apart from wearing a nice set of dual tone alloy wheels as well.
There will be as many as 3 interior themes on offer for customers to choose and the top-spec model will come equipped with LED lighting units, digital instrument cluster, 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, AI assistant and more.
MG will also offer Level 2 autonomous tech with the Astor (it is equipped with mid-range radars and a multi-purpose camera for that very purpose) apart from advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), which the Chinese-owned brand says have been optimised for Indian traffic scenarios.
To be offered in 4 different grades – Super, Smart, Sharp and Savvy – the spied MG Astor is a petrol-only model, powered either by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine (118 BHP and 150 Nm) or a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol (161 BHP and 230 Nm). The transmission choices will include a manual, CVT and an automatic based on the chosen engine option.
MG will reveal all of the details about the vehicle, which will take on the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti S-Cross and the like, tomorrow.
