The Mercedes S-Class Connoisseur’s Edition has been launched, available in both S350d and S500 trims.
The S-Class is Mercedes’ flagship sedan offering and now the Stuttgart-based automaker has launched a special edition of the luxo barge, namely the S-Class Connoisseur’s edition. The Mercedes S-Class Connoisseur’s Edition is available in the S350d and S400 variants.
The special edition comes with additional equipment like Night View Assist Plus which is being offered on the S-Class for the first time in India, rear left seat with extended thigh support and reclination up to 43.5-degrees. It also comes with AIR-BALANCE perfume package with air ionization. The S-Class Connoisseur’s Edition is assembled locally in Chakan itself.
Some other features of the Mercedes S-Class include Burmester Surround Sound System, Hot Stone Massage Function, and a host of safety tech like 8 airbags, Electronic Stability Program(ESP), PRE-SAFE, Dynamic cornering control system, Adaptive Brake with HOLD Function, Brake Assist and ASR Hill Start Assist.
The S400 gets a 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine producing 333 HP and 480 Nm with 0-100 km/hr coming up in 6.1 seconds. The S350d is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 mill giving out 258 HP and 620 Nm, with a sprint to 100 km/hr coming up in 6.8 seconds. The S400 Connoisseur’s Edition is priced at Rs. 1.32 crore while the S350d Connoisseur’s Edition costs Rs. 1.21 crore (ex-showroom, Pune).
