The Mercedes-Maybach Edition 100 models are limited to 100 units each
Mercedes-Maybach has presented the ‘Edition 100’ models of the S-Class (S680) and GLS (600 4Matic) to mark Maybach’s its 100th anniversary.
Limited to 100 units each, both Edition 100 models of the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class and GLS sport a dual tone paint scheme (High-tech Silver with Nautical Blue) and feature a new designo crystal white with silver grey pearl leather interior.
They also come with wheels with a new grey finish, ‘Edition 100’ lettering on the hub caps and ‘Edition 100’ inscription on the rearmost pillar.
There is more. The Mercedes-Maybach Edition 100 models also come with illuminated interior panels, various stowage compartments, a handmade case (to store keys and papers) made of crystal white or black leather and a car cover.
The GLS SUV will come with a 557 HP, 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 engine, electrically extendable running boards, an interior that has the finest leather and lots of soundproofing, and air suspension, among other creature comforts.
On the other hand, the S-Class for the Mercedes-Maybach Edition 100, which has an 180 mm longer wheelbase than even the standard long-wheelbase S-Class will be powered by a 612 HP 6.0-litre V12 also boosted with 2 turbos.
Equipped with all-wheel drive, the model has a noise-insulated rear compartment, infotainment screens, seats with heating and massage functions, Burmester 4D surround sound system, and more.
Both models will be available at dealers from 2022 and orders will be accepted from the last quarter of this year.
Mercedes-Maybach’s long-standing partners have also created a special series of items including a diamond-studded fountain pen and a champagne flute with special engraving of Maybach ‘100 Years’ logo, among other things.
