Mercedes-Benz has inaugurated a special arena at its Chakan plant in Pune known as “Centre of Excellence”. This centre will cater to the exclusive and elite customers of Mercedes-Benz who spend hefty sums of money and expect first class treatment and services from the company. This is a first of its kind initiative by any premium carmaker in the country. Mercedes-Benz wants to provide a world class buying experience to its customers and believes with the inauguration of this latest “Centre of Excellence”, it will be able to offer the same to its customers.
The “Centre of Excellence” houses exclusive AMG cars on sale in India including the SLS AMG, SLK 55 AMG, G63 AMG, E63 AMG and C63 AMG. In addition, this arena also has the CLS and the SLK class on display for the customers. The company knows that premium customers get a positive notion about the brand, they prefer buying more cars from the same brand and Mercedes-Benz is leaving no stone unturned to ensure this.
Mercedes-Benz has constructed a helipad at this production facility so that it can offer fly-in services where the customers can visit the centre in their own private helicopters or choose to opt for the chopper services offered by the German carmaker. This service is available only from Mumbai currently and will be extended to other cities. Customers can make use of the “iConfigurator” to customise the interiors and exteriors of the car virtually. Everything from the kind of pedals to the type of stitching on the leather and the alloy wheels can be optionally customised.
The walls of this “Centre of Excellence” are built with display screens for the visual benefit of the customer. The customers can also experience and get a feel of these cars at the production facility.
