Mercedes GLB & EQB price revealed for the Indian market
Mercedes GLB & EQB launched in India with a starting price of Rs. 63.8 lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom & introductory). The GLB is available in three variants – GLB 200 (Rs. 63.8 lakhs), GLB 220d (Rs. 66.8 Lakhs) and GLB 220d 4MATIC (Rs. 69.8 Lakhs). The all-electric EQB is priced at Rs. 74.5 lakhs.
The Mercedes GLB gets two engine options. The GLB 200 is powered by a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine producing 163 HP and 250 Nm. It is paired to a 7-speed automatic transmission and does 0-100 km/hr in 9.1 seconds with a top speed of 207 km/hr.
The GLB 220d is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 190 HP and 400 Nm. It is paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission and does 0-100 km/hr in 7.7 seconds with a top speed of 220 km/hr. The 4MATIC diesel version does 0-100 km/hr in 7.6 seconds and has a top speed of 217 km/hr.
Now the all-electric Mercedes EQB is powered by a 168 kW (225 HP) electric motor with a peak torque output of 390 Nm. It does 0-100 km/hr in 8 seconds while the top speed is limited to 160 km/hr. It has a claimed WLTP range of 388 – 423 km on a single charge.
Both the SUVs are 7-seaters with foldable third row and second row of seats. The third row of seats are best suitable for kids and pets.
The GLB comes with 8 year engine transmission warranty while the EQB comes with 8 year battery warranty. Both the cars are imported to India via CBU route as of now.
