Mercedes GLA 220d Activity Edition comes with new high-end features and permanent all-wheel drive 4MATIC system as standard.
Mercedes has launched the GLA 220d Activity Edition in the Indian market during the festive season. It is the 6th SUV variant and 9th product launched by Mercedes-Benz India in 2016. The special edition GLA comes with cosmetic updates, interior embellishments, new features, high-end equipment along with a more powerful diesel engine.
The car comes with ‘Activity Edition’ badge on the front fenders, black decals on the lower part of the doors with chrome elements. The new 18-inch twin 5-spoke alloys have a nice sporty pattern while the German automaker is also offering a new Mountain Grey colour options with the Mercedes GLA 220d Activity Edition.
On the inside, 8-inch display with smartphone integration package, keyless go with push button start, rain sensing wipers, activity edition mats, sunglass holder, stowage space under front seats, EASY PACK tailgate, rear seat back rest adjustment and a whole lot more to make the package more attractive for buyers.
Powering the Mercedes GLA 220d is a 2143cc, 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces 168 BHP at 3400-4000 RPM and 350 Nm of torque at 1400-3400 RPM, mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. It does 0-100 km/hr sprint in 7.7 seconds. Mercedes is offering 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive system as standard in this version of the GLA.
The Mercedes GLA 220d Activity Edition is priced at Rs. 38.51 lakhs (ex-showroom, Pune). Since the launch of the GLA in India, the German carmaker has sold over 3500 units of the compact luxury SUV. The Mercedes GLA comes with both petrol and diesel engine options along with a range topping GLA 45 AMG version as well.
