The Mercedes EQS SUV teaser image shows the distinctive styling of the EV
Mercedes has released a teaser image of the EQS SUV, its first all-electric luxury SUV that will make its global debut on 19th April 2022.
The electric vehicle (EV), which is the third model of the brand to be based on its new modular platform for pure-electric cars, will come with space for up to 7 occupants.
The Mercedes EQS SUV teaser image shows the car’s profile, with a design language similar to that of the EQS luxury sedan. Up front it has LED headlights, below which there are air intakes.
Along the sides, there are regular ORVMs and a narrow greenhouse with an upswept waistline, while the wrap-around tail lamps are slim. The design is a toned-down version of the Mercedes-Maybach EQS Concept showcased at the 2021 Munich Motor Show.
On the inside, expect to see large displays on the dash and at the seat backs, the latest MBUX system and every possible option on offer this side of a Maybach.
No details regarding the battery size of the luxury electric SUV or the kW rating of its electric motor(s) are available at present. But, what is known is that the German marque is targeting a claimed range of 600 km on a single charge.
What’s more, being an SUV, the car will also come equipped with the goodies and algorithms to go further even after the tarmac ends and it’s all-wheel drive system will even feature an intelligent off-road driving mode.
