The Mercedes-Benz Certified program will be retailing cars less than 5 years old with less than 1,00,000 kms and not more than two owners.
Entering the pre-owned luxury car business, Mercedes-Benz India launched ‘Mercedes-Benz Certified’ yesterday, simultaneously inaugurating 12 new outlets in the country on a single day. The new program will be retailing pre-owned Mercedes vehicles that hold a considerably lesser price compared to an all-new model. However, the German auto giant states that the new brand will provide pre-owned car customers an experience equivalent to purchasing a new car including warranty, financing options and service packages among other features.
The new outlets are located in Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, Cochin, Mohali, Delhi, Chandigarh and Hyderabad. The outlets in Mumbai and Bangalore get dedicated stand-alone showrooms, while the other cities will be using existing facilities to display used cars as well as new cars. Cars bought under Mercedes Certified will be less than 5 years old and would have not run more than 1,00,000 kms with no accident history and not more than two owners.
Keeping the experience rich, over 100 iPad equipped consultants with a dedicated app will be interacting with customers at the outlets. In addition, the Stuttgart based manufacturer is also offering financing options under Daimler Financial Services. Customers also get the option of trading in their old cars, Mercedes or of other manufacturers, in exchange for a new pre-owned vehicle. The cars will be available for customers with a warranty of 1 year or 20,000 kms. The warranty however will not apply to non-Mercedes branded vehicles.
