The Mercedes C-Class product portfolio has been expanded and now the luxury sedan is also offered in the C250d guise in the Indian market.
Mercedes-Benz has expanded the C-Class model range in India by launching the C250d version which will sit at the top of the line-up. The 2016 Mercedes C250d has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 44.36 lakhs (ex-showroom, Pune) and it is brought down to the country via the CKD route.
In terms of styling, the Mercedes C-Class continues to look as elegant as before. The C250d comes with a couple of changes such as 17-inch twin-spoke alloy wheels and an All-LED Intelligent Light System as standard features. The vehicle is also loaded with a Garmin MAP PILOT 7-inch system while you also get Ambient Lighting.
Powering the 2016 Mercedes C250d is a 2.2-litre, inline-4, diesel engine that belts out 204 HP of power at 3800 RPM and 500 Nm of torque between 1600-1800 RPM. The sedan accelerates from 0-100 km/hr in 6.6 seconds and top speed is limited to 247 km/hr. The C250d also comes with a 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission and it gets an ECO start/stop function too.
The Mercedes C250d is loaded to the brim with safety features like ABS, EBD, ASR, BAS, ESP, Hill Start Assist, ATTENTION ASSIST and PRE-SAFE. The C-Class is the highest selling model from Mercedes’ portfolio in India and it competes with the likes of the BMW 3-Series, Audi A4, Jaguar XE and Volvo S60.
